Archbishop Mitty Advocacy students are prepared to take off Friday for the Ignatian Solidarity Network Family Teach-In. Students from Catholic high schools and colleges from across the U.S. gather in Washington, D.C. for a weekend of workshops, training, and legislative advocacy to speak for the marginalized and voiceless in the U.S.
Archbishop Mitty students have been working on five issues for the 2013-2014 School year:
- Youth Homelessness
- Foster Care
- Criminal Justice Reform
- Human Trafficking
- Rising Costs of Higher Education
Check out the remarkably well organized program the Ignatian Solidarity Network has organized for this year’s conference. LINK
